HAPPY BIRTHDAY FATHER

ARCHBISHOP KWOFIE COMMISSIONS NEW CLINIC AT KOLUEDOR
Last week, the Archbishop joined the priests and church members at Koluedor to open the Immaculate Heart of Mary Clinic. The new clinic brings to four the total number of health facilities run by the Archdiocese of Accra.
The clinic which was spearheaded by the Priest in-charge, Fr George Ekow Mensah and his Associate, was largely funded by an NGO, International Help of Missionaries. This was after a request for assistance was placed by the former Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. Charles Palmer-Buckle during a visit to the US when he met with the founder of the NGO. It was Fr. Cletus Forson, a member of the NGO’s Board of Trustees, who first mentioned the NGO to Archbishop Palmer-Buckle and made arrangements for his meeting with its founder.
According to a report on the history of the Koluedor Catholic Church, the building renovated for the use of the new clinic was used some years ago for a clinic which was later closed down due to some challenges. It is the hope that this new “second” clinic will survive and grow into a hospital in the near future. The Battor Catholic Hospital is providing personnel for the running of the new clinic.
